Santa Claus Is Coming!!

As it is only 4 weeks til Christmas I thought I`d do a Folksy Friday on the Man in the Red Suit! He goes by several names, Santa Claus, Father Christmas, St. Nick but whatever you call him he`s going to be very busy very soon so here are a few items to celebrate his generosity to all the children of the world.

Chocolate shoes!!!

Last week it was my birthday (21 & a big bit!!) now because it`s so close to Christmas my family normally give me money to spend either now or in the January sales. My hubby usually arranges a pressie from him/the kids & this year was no exception, my treat from him was Sunday breakfast at Betty`s in York (10yo son was away for the weekend & 17yo daughter not out of bed so it was just us two!) from the kids he arranged for a lady at work who is a brilliant cake decorator to make me a pair of lovely pink high- heeled shoes completely from chocolate! Some of my fellow Folksy sellers said they would love to see some pictures so today I was brave & took them out of the cellophane to photograph. The smell was delicious but I`ve been very good & put them back without even a nibble, they look too good to eat :-)

Every bit of the shoe is chocolate even the flower & pearl trim she must have such patience.

Christmas Glitter

Now that all the family birthdays are out of the way (except mine but they can sort out the cards for that one!) I`ve got more time to concentrate on christmas cards, this means I seem to be permanently glitter coated so I thought I`d base this weeks Folksy Friday on glitter. I put the word glitter in the search box & 190 pages came up (we must be a glitzy lot!) so I narrowed it down to christmas glitter & here are a few of my favourites :-)

Halloween!!

Ok I know I`m probably a bit late to do a blog on halloween but just wanted to share some pictures of my son dressed as a zombie, as usual I left it a bit late to shop for face paint so had to resort to talc &  my 17yo daughters make up (she has more goth colours than me) but she took great delight in "making up" her little brother.

Some friends from the top of our street took their kids & a few extras around our village & I`m not sure who enjoyed it more adults or kids :-) they came back with enough treats to last until christmas (hopefully), normally we get a few come round but this year we had so many we ran out of sweets & had to give choccie biscuits to the last few! My son took great delight in trying to get the scariest face on the pumpkin that he could so here are a couple of piccies of his creation.

Hope you had fun on Halloween & no tricks were played
